I have the enjoyment of joining in some blog tours in February, so I thought I'd tell you about those.
I will also be taking part in the blog tour for Stephanie Barron's new book, 'Jane and the Waterloo Map'. This is number thirteen of the 'Jane Austen Mysteries' series, which sees the author turn sleuth. I have only read one of this series, the highly enjoyable 'Jane and the Twelve Days of Christmas' so I am looking forward to reading this book.
Author J Marie Croft has a new novella out. 'A Little Whimsical in His Civilities' is from Darcy's point of view, when he returns to Hertfordshire. I have read a couple of this author's works previously, the highly enjoyable gender swap story, 'Love at First Slight' which features a Miss Darcy who has conceived an unsuitable attachment for the young Mr Bennet, and a 'Pride & Prejudice' short story with a touch of 'Sanditon', 'Spyglasses and Sunburn' in 'Sunkissed: Effusions of Summer'. J Marie Croft will be stopping by with a guest post and chance to win a copy of the novella.
I hope you'll be able to join me for some of my blog tour stops in February. Happy reading to you all :)
I'm reading Undeceived now. Cold war spies!!!
ReplyDeleteI look forward to both the new Stephanie Baron and Joanne's new fun story.
Ah, sorry that January was a crazy busy and tiring month for you. Hope February treats you better. :)
So far, February is better, thanks, Sophia! I don't know much about the Cold War, so it's good to read something in that era. I hope you're enjoying your February reads :)
Delete'Undeceived' looks and sounds awesome! I'm looking forward to reading it myself! I'm involved in all of these book tours too, but only doing excerpts. I've stopped putting pressure on myself to having to read a book in a certain amount of time. I'm a slow reader, and life happens (as you know!!)
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a fabulous February!
I know just what you mean, Candy, I gave myself lots of time to read it so I wouldn't feel pressurised. I hope you get to read. Undeceived sometime, I think you'd probably enjoy it.
DeleteI did read Undeceived and loved it. Also read A Little Whimsical in his Civilities and, again, loved it. I want to read Barron's latest and have only read the first 2 of her but own the 12th one and have just not gotten to it. Thanks for the update.
ReplyDeleteHi Sheila. I have only read one of Stephanie Barron's books from this series. I'd like to read the earlier ones too at some point. Glad to hear that A Little Whimsical in His Civilities is good, I've enjoyed the other stories I've read by this author.
