Planned Reading for August 2015

Hello everybody. How is it August already?! Things are still super busy in my life but I have made a conscious effort to read more, and I feel better for it. I have a few visits planned for August 2015, and they come with giveaways from the authors, too!

Book Cover: Jane by the Sea by Carolyn V Murray
First up, we will have Carolyn V. Murray, who has written a book based on a snippet of information relating to Jane Austen's life. Though Austen never married, it's not to say that she never had any romance. It was said within her family that Jane had formed an attachment with a young man she met at the seaside and 'Jane by the Sea' is based on this episode in Austen's life.

Book cover: Sketching Mr Darcy by Lory Lilian
Later in August I'll be welcoming Lory Lilian, who has recently released a new book, 'Sketching Mr Darcy'. This is a variation on 'Pride & Prejudice' which sees Darcy and Elizabeth marry much earlier due to an innocent, but compromising situation. I love a forced marriage scenario, so I hope to enjoy this read.

I am hoping to read more than this, in fact, I'm hoping to catch up with some of my previous planned reads that I never got to.

What do you plan to read this month? I hope that you enjoy whatever you read :)

  1. Both of those look pretty good. Hope you enjoy them and get caught up a little bit. I'm working on my review pile, but I hope to read a few from my own stack, too.

    1. I have a huge list of books I wanted to read this year, and I've done really badly on it! I'm hoping to try and catch up a little. I have so many books unread that I think I'd really enjoy if I could just make the time to read them.

  2. I have read the second one and liked it. Hope you do also. I have a number of books on my kindle to read...too many. But I am going on vacation with no access to a computer so maybe I will get a lot of reading done. Good luck with yours.

    1. I hope you had a nice holiday and got lots of reading done, Sheila! I am going on a little break myself, but I don't hold out high hopes for getting much reading done, I will probably be worn out by my children!

    1. I haven't signed up for the Roof Beam Reader one, though I've been reading posts here and there. I hope to take part in The Bookrat Austen in August though :)
